Hi Michal/Marc,

I would like to know if my earlier pull request (https://github.com/phpmyadmin/phpmyadmin/pull/944) qualify me to participate in GSoC. Of course I'm ready to work on a particular bug/feature request if this pull request doesn't count as qualification.

Generally the ideas look interesting, you might want to go through our
feature tracker to find more ideas from other users.

On SHP file import, it's quite common format used for GIS data.
