i don't think so:
Under the MySQL heading is all related to the _current_ server connection.
Under phpMyAdmin heading is all that is configured inside phpMyAdmin or related to the phpMyAdmin installation.
But when I'm logged in, it seems weird to me that under the MySQL heading I see all that is related to the current server, _except its name_. Well, we see its name on the 3rd line (User: root@localhost) but it seems to me that this is an important information to show just under the MySQL heading.
than we should make the server name as heading and the MySQL version as list item ... ?
Yes, and we could use $strServerVersion for this list item.
About the server name, we already have this as a list item: Server: Localhost via UNIX socket
are you suggesting to put this in the heading: MySQL - Localhost via UNIX socket
i don't know if 'MySQL' is required ... the server name can become long ... i suggest using the same string as in the select box
You're right, MySQL could be removed. So we would get this?
(in heading) mysql.domain.com
Server version: 5.0.21-standard Protocol version: 10 Server: mysql.domain.com via TCP/IP User: admin@mysql.domain.com MySQL Charset: UTF-8 Unicode (utf8) MySQL connection collation: (dropdown)
