Hi,
byte units are international, or not?
I don't think so.
why are this in the locale string files?
I had a look at http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%A9bioctet and in French, MiB is Mio. For B they suggest o, mentionning also that there is a risk of confusion with the number 0. So I think I would stay with "octets" for B, but switch the other ones.
and i think we should use MiB instead of MB
and B instead of Bytes
Yes, in English and in other languages which do not have a language-specific abbreviation for those.
We could ask translators to check if their translations respect the new units defined in 1998 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mebibyte
but for PMA 2.9.0, ok? :)
