Subject: Re: [Phpmyadmin-devel] How to start
hi,> I am familiar with phpMyAdmin and I have one installed here. I went through the
link isaac
suggested. Finally i ended up here
https://sourceforge.net/p/phpmyadmin/bugs/ .
These are the bugs that need to be resolved. But my problem is If I found the solution
where do i post it or how/where do I implement it.
Hello Karan,
First of all, please type your reply always below the question.
This style is called "bottom posting".
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Posting_style#Bottom-posting
Secondly, are you familiar with Git?
www.git-scm.com
phpMyAdmin is using Git for version controlling.
Feel free to send us your bug fix proposals as pull requests over at GitHub.
More info:

Is this what you wanted to know?
Best,
J.M.

no, I haven't picked any bug, I am at just
beginning level and need some
guide to start. I downloaded the source code and ran
on localhost, it
shows the index.php page asking about username and
password. If i am
doing wrong, please let me know. I need a start up
guide.
Hi,
please use bottom-posting on this list.
Are you familiar about using phpMyAdmin?
Did you read the links that Isaac suggested?

Perhaps [1] has some of the information you seek?
Generally, you'll
want to
fork the phpMyAdmin project on GitHub and submit a
pull request (the
GitHub
documentation has more information [2]). As Marc
said, it's probably
best if
you select a particular bug or feature you think
you could fix or
implement,
preferably something simple to start so you can
become comfortable
with the
project.
Good luck!
