Hello, My name is Jayesh Anandani.I am new to the open
source world.I have
worked with phpmyadmin for a quite a time now.I have read the homepage of
gsoc 2012,idea list, applicant guide and many other pages but still i am
confused on what to start with. I don't know how to start contributing and
what all is necessary in order to fix the bugs!It would be very kind of you
if you guide me for the same!
Hi,
I assume you already had a look at our bug tracker [0] and feature
requests [1]. We also have one challenge left in our contest [2].
The idea is that you have a look at a bugreport, try to reproduce it,
try to understand what goes wrong, look in the code where it goes
wrong, figure out a way to solve it and write a patch. That's the kind
of skills we expect from applicants for GSoC.
If you are stuck or need some feedback on how to best solve a bug, you
can discuss it on the developers mailing list. We expect you to come
with some specific questions or proposals.
I hope this helps.
