Are you using phpMyAdmin 3.4.0-beta4 or the git master version?

Is your PHP compiled with JSON support? (it's possible to disable JSON
at compile time).

Thanks, I'm so sorry for this. It looks like I don't have any JSON support. I looked in the apache error log and it say

Undefined function json_encode().

Hopefully it works when I install it.
