I am Piyush Vijay, a contributor in the phpMyAdmin open source.

I was working on the JavaScript code refactoring of the phpMyAdmin code-base as a GSOC-18 project. I was trying to refactor the GIS editor part and the Oper layers library part related to the plotting of maps for the geographical points data.

But I am not having that much idea about this part of phpMyAdmin nor having any dataset for which I can use the GIS editor and Open layers map. So anyone can help me in this regard so that I can make changes in the code related to these two things.
