here is the correct german translation file
http://www.21st-clan.de/dl/deutsch.zip einfach die vorhandene german.inc.php mit dieser ersetzen und die Umlaute werden richtig dargestellt!

I wanted the opinion of someone speaking German: is this new german.inc.php better that the current one?
No, the current lang file has more than 280 translated strings and the deutsch.zip has only 120. I think the author has translate an old phpMyAdmin Version.
