Hi Garvin & list,
I was just wondering what this change is good for, except breaking our beautiful XHML code... *g*
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi- bin/viewcvs.cgi/phpmyadmin/phpMyAdmin/header.inc.php3.diff?r1=1.94&r2=1.95
I'd be glad if someone could enlighten me... :-)
Regards,
Alexander
Hi Rabus!

Many users reported problems with OBGZip without knowing whether its disabled or enabled. As I builtin the automatic disabling I wanted to prevent further problems in the new release when people do not know how their OBGZip is effectively set.
But why is it XHTML-incompatible?!
Regards, Garvin.

Garvin,
with "meta", you have to use "content=", not "value=".

This was added to witness the value of OBGzip. I just made the change now for XHTML compatibility.
