Hi, I want to welcome Dieter Adrianssens from Belgium to our team. Maybe he'll want to introduce himself on this list.

Hi all,
As Marc already mentioned : My name is Dieter Adriaenssens and I'm from Belgium. I'm 31 years old, I live in the city of Ghent and work as sysadmin at the local university. Previously I worked as a developer, software tester and sysadmin. (more info my LinkedIn profile : http://be.linkedin.com/in/dieteradriaenssens)
I'm a long time linux/Open Source user and fan. When I started studying (again) in 2003, I became webmaster of my fraternity, and learned PHP to make the website more dynamic. I've been using PHP and MySQL ever since; and of course I used phpMyAdmin too. ;) Around that time, I started developing my own project, an object oriented framework written in PHP, to make life easier for me when making webforms for inserting, deleting, modifying and showing data stored in a MySQL database.
Recently I decided I wanted to become more involved in the Open Source community, and started looking for a project to join. That's when I contacted Marc (after I attended his talk on FOSDEM 2010).
I'm looking forward to contribute to and help improve phpMyAdmin. I hope to learn a lot in the process, on a technical level, extending my knowledge of PHP, MySQL and other technologies, but also on working in a team on the same project, and the communication and other skills that are required.
Kind regards,
Dieter

Welcome to the team! (And bad luck I did not have a chance to meet you at FOSDEM).

Hi Michal,
2010/3/15 Michal Čihař :
Welcome to the team! (And bad luck I did not have a chance to meet you at FOSDEM).
Thanks.
But we have met... at the keysigning party. ;) Of course I didn't until afterwards realise you were on the PMA team.
Besides, I didn't meet Marc in person, af FOSDEM, I sent him an E-mail a few days later.
Greets,
Dieter
