as the survey is now closed, it's time to publish results. I've done so on my blog so far:

Short summary:
pmahomme clearly wins as default theme (49%), second is Graphite (21%), third Original (15%)
66% of responders want to have two themes in download kit
40% of people who want two themes prefer Original to be second theme, 23% pmahomme, 20% Graphite
I can provide detailed data for analysis and I will probably dig deeper into data tomorrow as well.
PS: I think announcement on website can wait till we actually change the default theme.

Based on this, my plan is to drop dark_blue orange theme (and move it to themes repo), add pmahomme theme and make it default. I guess there are no objections to this step :-).
The rest can probably stay unchanged, though I'm quite surprised that majority for having two themes is not that big as I would expect. Also the results for second theme says that users are quite conservative and want to have option to go back to "well known" look.

Also, styles related to the 'null' check box in Inline Edit mode needs to be added.
