When I download from cvsweb, I open it in PowerArc and get a crc error on the .tar file.
With PowerArc release? As far as I remember there were a known bug with the old freeware version. I'll give with the last official PowerArchiver release tonight.
IMHO I don't think it's necessary to compress this file, it will be compressed anyway in the download kits.
I would even prefer not to include it in the download kit: who reads such a file indeed?

I think it belongs to the kit, being the complete history of the product. I still need to read it :)
