I've just installed phpunit 3.6.5 on ci.phpmyadmin.net, please update your copy as well as it changes handling of output buffering. Also it is now stricter in some cases, so it did catch some errors in our testsuite.

Also you will be probably hit by https://github.com/sebastianbergmann/phpunit/issues/371
