Hi, can someone reproduce this under Windows 7?
With Chrome, Firefox and IE, I try to use the ctrl/click, shift/click and alt/click actions on a column header to modify the sort, to no avail. Instead, for example a new tab is opened when using ctrl/click.
All is fine with Chrome on Linux.

I tested it on current master in Windows 7 with firefox 31.7.0, Chrome 43.0 and IE 11.0. In firefox and chrome ctrl+click, shift+click was working fine but in IE ctrl+click was opening new tab. Alt+click wasn't working properly in all 3 of them. It first removed column from sort order but then columns get sorted by that column only.
All is fine with Chrome on Linux.
