I was just trying to throw something together (A little script to display my current winamp/xmms mp3 on a webpage), and for the life of me, I could not find the 'Create Database' link. I am sure there used to be one on main.php3 page, does anybody know what happened to it?
(I capitulated and used a raw SQL query myself in the meantime).

in main.php3 the display of this link is conditional: you are supposed to see it only if you have global create priv, or create priv on an inexistent db.
There are no pending bug reports about this, but please trace main.php3 if you are facing a bug.

I am logged in as the MySQL root user, so I should have the global privleges.

I can't face the bug here. Does your stduser have correct permissions as stated in Documentation.html?
