[Phpmyadmin-devel] about the Privileges menu

Hi, I got a suggestion at the GSoC mentor summit: replace the Privileges menu (the one in server view) with Users. I suggest that for 3.5 we replace it with "Users/Privileges" to ease the transition. -- Marc Delisle http://infomarc.info

Fine by me, but won't the text be too big for the tab? Kind regards, Dieter

Indeed it's a bit long but acceptable. Can we take the chance of switching straight to "Users" for 3.5? -- Marc Delisle http://infomarc.info

I think a transition is desirable. What about using two tabs pointing to the same page? WIth a notification that Privileges will be removed/replaced in a future release? Just an idea. Or is a mention in the release notes sufficient? Kind regards, Dieter

I would prefer going straight to Users. Having two tabs or longer caption just pollutes the interface. -- Michal Čihař | http://cihar.com | http://phpmyadmin.cz

Agreed. I'm for replacing name in one step. -- Piotr Przybylski
