First I best introduce myself, my name is Pete Kelly, I'm from Manchester in the United Kingdom and I run www.trafficg.com Over the next few weeks I will mainly be dealing with database restoration, I will also be dealing with some safe mode issues (file uploads), and may add some more options in the database/table backup area. I have been looking into using system calls to deal with database backup/restoration, doing it this way is very fast and very stable, but unfortunately it will not work on all servers due to permissions and various other security issues, because of this little fact I will work on getting the current system as stable and reliable as possible first.
