Why don't you just start another branch on SourceForge?
Hi,
Well, I still would like to know the impact of your changes to the main code. You see, 2 months is a long time, the current version will evolve, so how will we merge your changes?
I would not like to have to analyze a complete rewrite of the code.
If you could find a way to evolve gradually the current version, I think it would be more acceptable.
Of course, other developers can have a different opinion.

And what should the purpose of this be? Why not just use the SourceForge.net as we do today?
I really can't see any point in launching development in yet another CVS / Server environment?
So I think you have to have some really good reason for doing this - otherwise I strongly suggest that we keep the development in the current CVS control system.

I would think that the SourceForge CVS system is quite adequet for our needs still, and will remain so for some time to come.
