Yes, I have been guilty of being away from our Gitter room and Slack
channels, but that's majorly because of my day job taking over most of
the time recently and some other personal commitments.

With regards to your query regarding the project idea: Introduce
modern JS features and tools to phpMyAdmin codebase, I would
unfortunately be not able to mentor any student for this year's GSoC
given the shortage of time. I have removed my name as a possible
mentor from the idea on the wiki.

You could still submit a proposal towards this idea but we can't say
for sure if one of the other mentors would be able to help with the
idea. So, I would highly suggest to consider submitting a proposal
towards a different idea that interests you.

Meanwhile, if you had some specific questions on this idea, I'd be
happy to answer them over email but do expect a slightly delayed
response.
