Hi,
we would like to know how many language file translators would be
interested in translating (or finding someone to translate) the whole
Documentation.html file in their language, and to maintain the translations.
The file will probably be splitted, and there will be new sections:
short howtos about specific subjects.

Hi,
I can translate parts of the documentation to Swedish.
I think that the only parts that need to be translated are those that explain how to use
phpMyAdmin. In my opinion is it a waste of time and effort to translate the parts that
concern how to install and configure PMA. That is because it is easier to understand all
the technical expressions in English and also because the documentation for most other
things that need to be set up (Apache, MySQL, PHP etc.) are in English.
So I think the best way is to separate the documentation about how to use PMA and only
translate that part.

Hi again,
I received answers from 10 translators that are willing to translate the
documentation.
You may have seen that some translators feel that only parts of the
documentation should be translated.
Keep in mind also that there will be new HOWTO sections oriented towards
end-users, and those will surely need to be translated.

I get this error message when trying to use any utf-8 language:
Warning: Unable to load dynamic library
'/usr/lib/php/extensions/recode.so' - /usr/lib/php/extensions/recode.so:
cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in
/var/www/html/phpMyAdmin/libraries/charset_conversion.lib.php on line 33
Warning: Unable to load dynamic library
'/usr/lib/php/extensions/iconv.so' - /usr/lib/php/extensions/iconv.so:
cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in
/var/www/html/phpMyAdmin/libraries/charset_conversion.lib.php on line 35
Can not load iconv or recode extension needed for charset conversion,
configure php to allow using these extensions or disable charset
conversion in phpMyAdmin.
What's wrong?
