Yes, because a bugfix release (2.8.x) needs testing also. But you are 
the one who suggested a fourth number for the patch level, now you no 
longer want a fourth number?

That's why I suggest a 2.8.1RC1.

I got your point. But this could be called also QA_2_8_0.
