When we go PHP5-only, and don't mind increasing the external
requirements on our users, PDO/PDO_User would vastly improve several
things - SQL parsing being one of them - better MySQL dumps a close
second.

Not too busy to not pay attention, but still busy enough ;-).
Working on a project with RubyOnRails and Postgres lately.
