the navi logo is configurable already:

$cfg['LeftDisplayLogo']       = TRUE;   // display logo at top of left frame
$cfg['LeftLogoLink']          = 'http://www.phpmyadmin.net/';   // where
should logo link point to

ppl just don't read the docs :(
