doesn't makes sense to me ... any way

the JS could take the number from innerHtml or cut it out from the id 
"footnote_sub_#"

to get the id for footnote_#

but the reason is used name="" was this sup could appear more than once on a 
page, all sharing the same name - makes sense to me - cause it is the same 
element, just placed more than once in the document
