reading this:

I would answer that since they released their version publicly, it's
also covered by the GPL. In some sense, the custom theme is a
modification of the original theme, no?
I think that we should inform them of this. However I don't think we
should merge their custom theme in our SVN or offer it for download.
They would have the responsibility of giving access to the source code.
