That name could indeed use a refresh.

What about:
- phpMyAdmin internal data store
- phpMyAdmin configuration data store

You can imagine that from your options "phpMyAdmin extended data
storage" is my favourite, I'm just not sure it is clear what data
storage is extended... it might be interpreted as some extra table space.
