Please use the developers mailinglist [0] for all your general questions
regarding GSoC and phpMyAdmin.

I assume you had a look at the applicant guide [1] already?
Regarding tasks to work on, we launched a contest [2] a few weeks ago.
This way you can get an patch ready for GSoC and win a book. ;)
