[phpMyAdmin Developers] OSX 10.10.4 - MySQL 5.6.26 - phpMyAdmin 3.4.3 - Apache2 - php 5.524

I'm having a problem connecting to phpMyAdmin. I've included the 
pertinent information above. When I attempt to log into phpMyAdmin in 
receive the message "cannot connect to the MySQL server". I've tried a 
lot of suggestions to no avail. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
