Hmm, looking at the server setup, this indeed happens when you access
the demo using HTTPS, it just would redirect you to http with wrong URL.
But it seems that your browser uses HSTS for phpmyadmin.net for some
reason as all links to the demo are HTTP...

I've changed the setup to not enforce HTTP on the demo server, hopefully
the hardware will be able to handle HTTPS requests.
