HOTP and TOTP algorithms manage to maintain sync on their own. First of all I don't think that 2FA needs interned access. You generate<br class="gmail_msg">
the key, share it with authentication app by displaying the QR code onthe screen and it's done.<br class="gmail_msg">

Anyway even if it would require internet access, this will still be<br class="gmail_msg">
optional feature, so it's up to user if he wants to enable it or not.<br class="gmail_msg">
