I just fixed bug #795171 in the HEAD branch - at least I hope I did... :-)
imho, this bug is a showstopper for 2.5.3, so I'd suggest to merge the fix into the QA branch and release RC3 asap. Also, the 2.5.3 release should be postponed. I suggest September 6th for the final release, this would be one week later.
