Hi Devels!
Does anyone heard about problems with phpMyAdmin 2.6.x on PHP 4.2.2.? The provider "schlund.de" have upgraded to the version 4.2.2 from 4.2.1. Some little changes are in PHP 4.2.2, see https://service.schlund.de/service/stoerungsdienst/ankuendigungen.php3 http://www.php.net/ChangeLog-4.php#4.4.2:
I've checked, and I think there should'nt be problem. But if I click on "browse", or make a sql-query the browse-page with the results from the database is empty. In Internet-Explorer there comes a http error 'page could not be shown'. In Firefox, the page is empty ('<html><head></head><body></body></html>')
Then I've tried to copy the 'browse' link from source code: sql.php?lang=de-utf-8&server=1&db=test_db&table=archiv_old&goto=tbl_properties_structure.php&back=tbl_properties_structure.php&sql_query=SELECT+%2A+FROM+%60archiv_old%60&pos=0
Nothing happens ;(
I'm in contact with "schlund.de", because many other peoples have same problems.
Note: older version of phpMyAdmin may be not work too. same Problems ...
Many thanks and regards
Michael

Hi Marc, Many thanks for testing.
But that makes me nervos ... may be there a problem, if PHP 4.4.2 runs as Apache-Module instead CGI?
If not, the problem may be at the ISP. At the moment I'm using a htaccess, for mapping php files as php5. The problem is solved, with this htaccess.
I've only the problems on reading anything from MySQL: in the tbl_change, PMA can't get the maxlength for <input type="text"> on the Char/Varchar-Fields. Sending a SQL-Query, nothings happens (descriped some mails before).
Some checks with $_GET, $_POST are okay (I can print all sent data), but no page is loaded.
I will make some tests and check ... Perhabs anyother may have an answer for this problem, or seen such behavior with PHP 4.4.2?
Perhabs is nice to know: before update => no problems; after update to PHP 4.4.2 => I got troubles ;)

Maybe they are running a broken|non-compatible PHP accelerator.

I just tested all version I have on demo site [1] with PHP 4.2.2 (from Debian) and I didn't notice any problems.
