so i think you should never write parenthesis where it is not required.

this is not en example for require_once, it is an example for case sensitivity in filenames ... ;-)

Yes but it's the only example they give for require_once and it's coded like a function call.

They still have these big titles include() require() Hmmm, I guess I should complain elsewhere :) Anyway, we are talking about PEAR coding standards, not PHP coding standards (these do not exist AFAIK).
