Thank you for your quick response. I think this will clear any doubts that aspirants including myself had.

Hi Mentors, I am Nitish Bahl, a 3rd year undergraduate student studying in BITS
Pilani, India. I have been contributing to phpMyAdmin development for a couple of months now. I am proficient in PHP, JS, JQuery and Vue, I have already solved several issues in PMA and have opened more than 15 PR's so far, many of which have already been approved and merged.
I am particularly interested in submitting a proposal for the project
titled `Introduce modern JS features and tools to phpMyAdmin codebase`. I would like to discuss some ideas with the mentors regarding the same.
Also, I was unable to find the mentor of the project(Deven Bansod) on
Gitter as well as Slack channel, so how can I contact him regarding this?
Thanks for your query.
Yes, I have been guilty of being away from our Gitter room and Slack channels, but that's majorly because of my day job taking over most of the time recently and some other personal commitments.
With regards to your query regarding the project idea: Introduce modern JS features and tools to phpMyAdmin codebase, I would unfortunately be not able to mentor any student for this year's GSoC given the shortage of time. I have removed my name as a possible mentor from the idea on the wiki.
You could still submit a proposal towards this idea but we can't say for sure if one of the other mentors would be able to help with the idea. So, I would highly suggest to consider submitting a proposal towards a different idea that interests you.
Meanwhile, if you had some specific questions on this idea, I'd be happy to answer them over email but do expect a slightly delayed response.
Regards, Deven Bansod
