Hello everyone,
We have been allotted three slots by Google so I assume we would be mentoring the following three projects:
1. Convert UI to Bootstrap (by Mauricio) 2. Refactoring and Improving Designer (by Isaac) 3. General Improvements (by Me)
For the General Improvements project, I am not able to decide between two proposals so I have marked both of them as 'Want to Mentor'. Please look at these two proposals.
Thanks, Saksham

I accepted the Nupur Agrawal's proposal for the Convert the UI to Bootstrap project. My first choice was the Nitish Bahl's proposal, but this student has already been accepted by Joomla. I was in doubt between the proposals of Nupur Agrawal and Agha Saad Fraz, but based on communication and contributions I believe that Nupur's proposal is more likely to be a successful project. Feel free to comment on the decision.

You have marked the proposals of Apoorv Khare and Kartik Kathuria. I think the two students have a good chance of completing the project successfully. And I think both proposals are good, but I enjoyed a little bit more of the choice of issues in Kartik's proposal.
Hello,
Even I feel that Nupur Agarwal is a better candidate. Also, for my project, I'll take a look again at other proposals as well that I might have missed, as my examinations are going to end today. Some people have submitted multiple proposals in our organization itself, so I think we should be more inclined to those proposals in general. Any thoughts?
Regards, Saksham

I think Maurício is settled on his choice, so I won't add much to that discussion at this point.
For Saksham's general improvement project, I see four highly qualified proposals: * Mohit Kuri * apoorvkhare07 (Apoorv Khare) * Kartik Kathuria * saurass (Saurabh Srivastava)
I think each of them have a strong proposal and liked how saurass contributed extra comments and conversation in the Gitter channel. However, he also seemed a bit overeager, as I said to Saksham we use the phrase "biting off more than he can chew". Mohit also applied to refactor Designer, which I have decided I have time for this summer, so we can discount him as well.
The last two are both very close. Kartik seemed to go through and help reproduce some issues, helping with report triage. I favored Apoorv's proposal slightly.
Saksham had a great suggestion that we offer to hire the other applicant for the summer. We can look in to that in the next few days if this seems like the good choice going forward.
Any other input on this? In particular, Maurício, do you have any preference between Kartik and Apoorv?
Isaac

I don't have a strong preference between Kartik and Apoorv. Both of them seems very good.
I like the amount of effort Agha Saad Fraz has been putting in to the issue
tracker, by effort doesn’t directly equate to understanding and I had some concerns about some of his work, so I support your decision.
I share the same feeling. That why I decided to choose Nupur's proposal.
