Hi all
I've just deployed completely different system on
https://l10n.cihar.com/ , which is used for translating phpMyAdmin.
This service now uses Weblate, my own web based translation system, you
can find more information about it on http://weblate.org/
For translators, it should produce less errors and inconsistency issues.
In case you see any problems, just let me know. Your login from
Pootle should be still valid, given that you have used your account in
past year.
New system brings various advantages like support for translating
divergent branches. You can see start translating now at:

Hi all
as you might have noticed, first alpha release of phpMyAdmin 3.5 has
been released, what means it's about time to start translating if you
want to be on time.
You can translate as usual (get file from Git, translate and post it to
translations tracker) or use online translation system available here:
https://l10n.cihar.com/projects/phpmyadmin/
As you can see in the summary, there is lot of new or changed strings,
many of the new ones coming from advisor. I suggest you to keep these
as last to translate as there is quite lot of them and it is more
important to have translated rest of application. The advisor messages
are placed at the end of po file.
Looking forward to your contributions

Hi
cross posting this mail to both -devel and -translators.
Currently we ship all translations with phpMyAdmin. I don't think it
really makes sense for languages where just few words are translated.
Now the question is where to set the threshold. I think the translation
should provide reasonable set of translated messages to be actually
useful.
When requiring 50% of translation to be complete, the list of languages
would consist of 24:
Turkish
Swedish
Spanish
Slovenian
Russian
Italian
Greek
German
French
English (United Kingdom)
Dutch
Czech
Chinese (China)
Catalan
Norwegian Bokmal
Polish
Finnish
Uzbek (latin)
Uzbek
Galician
Hungarian
Georgian
Lithuanian
Portuguese (Brazil)

Hi all
we're getting closer to 3.4 release so it's highest time to start
translating if you want to catch 3.4 release and your translation is
missing many new strings.
There won't be any new messages appearing as we're in strings freeze,
so once you complete current amount of strings, you are done for 3.4.
The current plan is to release last beta next week and then proceed
quickly towards a release.
The 3.4 release changes a lot of things, one of being translation
system. phpMyAdmin now uses standard gettext po files.
You can translate as usual (get file from Git, translate and post it to
translations tracker) or use online translation system available here:
https://l10n.cihar.com/projects/phpmyadmin/
As you can see in the summary, there is lot of new or changed strings,
many of them coming from new features.
Looking forward to your contributions
