I have Windows NT 5.1 on my machine, but I haven't installed the IIS because
I prefer Apache for php testings...
Furthermore I haven't worked with IIS yet. But if nobody else did it, I'd
try to...

Hi List!
Have a look at the patch #546785 (Http auth and IIS). Since I'm not a
IIS user I can't test it myself but I can implement it into the code.
Thanks for your help,
Loïc

You meant 4.2.0, didn't you? 4.0.02 is the next MySQL release :o)
I'll do so, but I'm just a bit confused: I only get the HTTP 500 using the
Internet Explorer! Opera and NN do fine for some reason...
Because of this, I'm going to change the doc entries in a couple of minutes.
Loïc, don't you have a Win32 machine, too? Couldn't you test it on you
machine a bit?
You get the RC4 and earlier versions here: http://www.php.net/~derick/

Hi Alexander & List!

Did you report the bug the php bug tracker and to the php-qa
mailing-list?

Hi team,
I commited some notes about the buggy release candidates of php 4.2.0 to the
CVS tree.
I played a bit with the RCs and I get an HTTP 500 if a script uses a command
like this:
header('Content-Type: some/thing');
If I switch back to php 4.1.2, everyting works fine.
Let's hope, they'll fix it before the release...
Happy coding,
Alexander
Hi List,
As 2.2.6 will be released soon (in the next two days), we ask
the maintainers for those languages (or anybody who can do
it) to get the latest cvs version and translate the few messages
that are still in english (search for the "translate" string):
- Brazilian-Portuguese;
- Bulgarian (koi8-r and win-1251 charsets);
- Catalan ($strOverhead);
- Galician;
- Japanese (euc and sjis charsets);
- Korean;
- Latvian;
- Lithuanian;
- Romanian;
- Russian (koi8-r and win-1251 charsets);
- Slovak (win1250 charset);
- Spanish ($strOverhead).
Thanks,
Loïc, for the phpMyAdmin-dev team

Hi Spiggy & List!
>if you use the http auth method (set up as the readme states) and

>pops up the login box again.. now, if at this point you wanted to
>log back in, it will not work.
Yep, see the documentation about this problem: it is related to the
http authentication headers and not to phpMyAdmin itself.
>so how about a logout page telling 'you have successfully logged
>out'
But you don't indeed! The only way to really log out is to enter
three times a faulty user (or the same one you logged out with).
That's why we must keep this way to do, even if not really
friendly...
Loïc
