Greetings,
the phpMyAdmin development team is pleased to announce availability
of the third (and hopefully last) release candidate for phpMyAdmin 2.5.3.
It fixes this problem: when editing a record, a field with a foreign key
would be displayed empty.
Development of version 2.5.4 has already started.

I disagree.
I remember that it was you who wanted to release RC3 if a serious bug is
found in RC2.

Yes, and also the other bugfixes about the undefined variables in
browse_foreigners.

Oh, come on, guys, it's just one more week.
We don't hurt anyone if we wait until Sep 7th with the final release:
- For those who want to have the latest version, we'd release a good and
rather stable RC3
- We can keep on working on 2.5.4 without problems - 2.5.3 won't be affected
at all.

do we really need 2.5.3-rc3? I think we could
go directly to 2.5.3 on August 31st.
Alexander's bug fix is the only difference from -rc2,
and now with branches we always have the possibility
of releasing a -pl1.

I just fixed bug #795171 in the HEAD branch - at least I hope I did... :-)
imho, this bug is a showstopper for 2.5.3, so I'd suggest to merge the fix
into the QA branch and release RC3 asap.
Also, the 2.5.3 release should be postponed. I suggest September 6th for the
final release, this would be one week later.
