Hi all
please for now let's forget about updating po files in master (using
scripts/update-po). It does not make sense to differ them from QA_3_5
for now and it will ease merging translations back. Once we release 3.5
we can probably go back to usual procedure.

Hi Marc,
It was a great gsoc session with PMA last time. I could not contribute it
for last few months(after gsoc) because I had my final year exam at
university. I'm willing to continue my contribution to phpMyadmin as a non
gsoccer. Are there any remaining ideas to continue with ajaxification of
the PMA. If so I like to open a discussion on them and continue with them.
Thank you.
Regards,
Thilanka.

Hi
all, I think we can agree on register globals being evil. So let's do
radical breakage in master and remove ./libraries/grab_globals.lib.php.
I know lot of things will get broken, but this is something what needs
to be done for 4.0 and I think it should be done ASAP to prevent any
new code using this.
So I don't give you question whether to do this, but rather when to do
this with possible rationale for the choice:
- right now - anyway people should be using QA_3_5 so master breakage
should not matter
- after releasing 3.5 - developers can focus on master after releasing
3.5
- after releasing 3.5.1 - final release 3.5 will most likely bring lot
of bug reports, which will need to be fixed in 3.5.1

Hi there,
Looks like there is an issue with the "Review" section in Pootle. For
the Italian translation of phpMyAdmin, the review section shows that
there are 47 strings that have a suggestion ("hassuggestion" check).
This is false. There is only one string with a suggestion. I think that
the review section on Pootle has not worked properly since its upgrade
to the newer version. I wonder though if it's just a matter of
rebuilding the cache or an actual bug...

Hello,
I was trying to implement some ideas of mine related to the export plugin,
and I
have a small question.
I saw that export.php uses a function called PMA_getPlugins (from
libraries/plugin_interface.lib.php) to get the export list with all of the
plugins.
That function includes all the files in the libraries/export folder, which
in turn
define the options and functions for each of the plugins. After the user
chooses a
format and submits, one of the exports is selected and used.
I was wondering if there is any reason for using that $plugin_list ( in
this case
$export_list ) or if that variable is actually needed somewhere else except
the
export.php and libraries/display_export.lib.php, where it displays the list
of
export plugins. Because if not, I was thinking that the export list could
be
replaced with a single element which will be an instance of one of the
export
classes.
This way, all the other export plugins don't need to be included, and only
one
export class will be instantiated and its output functions will be used. I
tested
this scenario and it works, but I don't know if I may cause something else
to
malfunction in some part. Would you have any objections for such a
replacement?
Thanks,
Alex
