Testing LV + the 2 patches I sent to the list. This query: SELECT * FROM an2000 WHERE fromchamp like '%2000' works ok in cvs, but becomes in LV: SELECT * FROM `an2000` WHERE fromchamp like ' 00' Which means this bug is back: 434405, Percent bug in delete queries Oops, too much decoding? I will try without the patches. Marc

Ok this patches the problem of the next SELECT after a modification or deletion of a record. Hi, Without this patch, I can't modify or delete any records. Everything I tried worked after the patch, but I did not try all phpMyAdmin. With the patch, even the 'say "hello"' now works. [Phpmyadmin-devel] Point in not being able to edit fields ('binary - do not edit') bug - or 'feature'?

Maybe another point I might have missed... But both with the current CVS version - and the LV code I'm experiencing problems while trying to edit a record ie. mysql.user - the first 3 fields - Host, User and Password is marked as char(60) binary as Type and then I'm not able to edit the values... That really annoys me, as I really would like to be able to edit those fields (and I don't think that its phpMyAdmins job to restrict that)... But as mentioned in subject - is there a point in this behaviour, is it a feature or is it really a bug? (running on PHP 4.0.6 with MySQL 3.23.39 on RH6.2) -- Kind regards Geert Lund

Sorry, I might have missed something - but as far as I can see, the tbl_qbe.php3 file has not yet been striped from hardcoded text-strings and is as yet not translated into local languages - is there a reason for this or is it just a thing that never made it to the todolist? ;o)) -- Kind regards Geert Lund (aka Glund)

Hello Tobias (and others), I've got board and decided to check up on this probject. I was looking at the feature request page on the sourceforge project and decided to whip this out as I have just done a similar upgrade on my own web site and have seen enourmous speed increase from the site. I wouldn't recommend using it if the site is heavily loaded (imagine 50+ gzips running on your websever) but if it is only a single machine and only the admin is accessing this, it should be fine. There are lots of bugfixes and small improvements: HTTP compression, individual left frame width, dynamic length for input fields, timestamp field will be set by default to "NOW()", trouble detection if insert field failed, and various language updates.
