Hi List! I've modified the "common.lib.php3" library in order to "guess" what should be the value of "$cfgPmaAbsoluteUri" in case the user didn't complete it. But I'm not sure it's a so nice stuff, since it depends on some variables send by the server! Then if the server is not well configured or do not fit CGI/1.1 specifications we may face "bugs" that would be harder to find because it's easier to see that "$cfgPmaAbsoluteUri" is empty than it was "automagically" set with a wrong value. That's why I require both you testings (with different servers) and your opinions about this stuff. just one idea: PMA always shows the SQL it created, so couldn't we just add a small checkbox and a textinput giving the user the possibility to add a variablename and then to have a second output of the SQL in the form of $var = "SELECT field FROM table "; $var .= "WHERE `field` = 'blub'"; so he could just copy & paste it to the code? Especially now that table_qbe is starting to be intelligent enough to come up with nice SQL it would make things easier for all those who develop in php (surely most of the users), but also other languages might be able to use it (c, perl etc. do have a rather similar syntax so it should be fine with them) -- Gruß Mike
