Hi, here is IMO a MySQL (at least 4.0.20) bug, but maybe we could put a workaround in the export logic. If the last exported table has no data, the export file ends with those ANSI-style comments: -- -- Dumping data from table table1 -- and MySQL gives an error on this! No problem if the file ends with MySQL-style comments. Marc

Hi all From sf status page: As of 2004-09-17 there is a problem with the CVS host serving anonymous CVS, nightly tarballs and ViewCVS for projects that start with the letters q, z, p, m, t, n and y. [Phpmyadmin-devel] Spaces/Label cleanup

Hi! As proposed in Bugreport #1010752 I took the time to cleanup our general code style regarding labels and spaces. I removed any 'option : value' extra spaces to now read 'option: value'. And I removed the linebreak (causing additional spacing) in front of every <label> tag (only for radio/checkboxes. There still is spacing for selects and textareas, where extra spacing IMHO increases readability). There are a couple of occasions, where label/input fields are seperated because they're in differend td's of a table. I did not correct those places, as enhanced spacing is usually needed there (see privileges). I also cleaned up some other minor code/indenting/spacing issues, and I'd like to commit the patch to the upcoming HEAD for 2.6.1. Opinions? Hi, I suggest Sept. 6 for 2.6.0-rc2 release, and probably one week later for 2.6.0-final. Before -rc2 I plan to work on - removing charset introducers and use CONVERT - bug 1009791 About #1018081, as discussed with Alexander, maybe we should not support MySQL 4.1.0 and 4.1.1 (even though _latin1 won't be there anymore in server_privileges.php). Also, we will have to make a decision about Safari support before -final. Other bug reports do not appear show-stoppers to me. Marc

Hi all I just looked at bug #1023029 and thought about theme versioning. Current one is not good as it doesn't allow current phpMyAdmin to refuse future incompatible themes. So I suggest one more modification before final 2.6.0: In addition to $theme_version add $theme_generation. $theme_generation will have to match and $theme_version needs to be higher or equal than required versions. This will allow to enhance themes step by step while increasing $theme_version and these themes will work inside one generation. When we will need more changes, we increase generation and this theme won't be compatible with older phpMyAdmin releses. Comments? -- Michal Čihař | http://cihar.com
