Hi, I've played around with phpunit a bit as of late, and think we could make better use of this for pma. The PMA_formatNumberByteDown_test test still fails for me on a conversion.... does this pass on other systems? I've setup several new testcases that uses Selenium RC [1] to replay actual browser behaviour. My first test in this is a case where I log in and do some basic browsing and change the test users password. The test scenario's are easily recorded using the Firefox Selenium IDE add-on. [2] Testing can happen in Firefox, Internet Explorer and other browsers. I've set up a cronjob which would run the test suite e.g. every day on trunk, and plan to expand this to the latest testing branch. Any errors would be mailed to me. If others are interested I could sent this to a list address. Issues: - Using a self-signed ssl certificate with Selenium RC is a pain, using non-ssl for now. [4] - Somehow selenium does not like the language selection on the cookie login page, forced English in my config for now. - The current naming scheme for test cases seems to be a bit off, according to the phpunit defaults. When running through wui.php it works, but when running individual tests the underscores in the class/file names are interpreted as directory separator. I therefore propose a CamelCase format for the new selenium classes. - The wiki has no info about testing, I propose a Devel:UnitTesting page I hope to soon commit these changes to trunk, any feedback would be very welcome. Is there any alternative to this? Thanks! P.S. follow my live progress update streams at zixan.info. Hi all I'll be till 4th August on vacation in Spain being one week in the middle on the DebConf 09. This means that I will not read emails that often and replies to private emails can take long. So especially for GSoC students it means what I've told all the time - use the mailing list to ask questions. And please write status reports, it is again end of week and I did not see much of them! [Phpmyadmin-devel] "Cannot modify header information" and strange character anomalies.

Hey all, I'm having a couple issues that I can't quite pin down. They aren't show-stoppers by any stretch of the imagination, but they're still something I need to work out before the end of the summer. I created a notification panel that displays the various structures created or altered on import. To accomplish this I used the PMA_Message::notice class to build a string of html, and then ->display() it, as should be done, I believe. When this panel is displayed, there are several warnings regarding not being able to modify header information, header info. already sent, etc. I know what this means and mostly understand how PHP handles headers, but I'm not entire sure why it is throwing these errors. Upon a successful import, there is a PMA_Message::success element displayed under the navigation buttons that tells how many queries were executed, etc., and that doesn't cause header problems. I imagine this is cropping up because of how I am using PMA_Message, although I'm using it in ways demonstrated elsewhere. Also, whenever the aforementioned notification panel is displayed, strange character anomalies appear at the very bottom of the import page. They change every time, but always take the form ",�<��Y". My best guess is that it is related the the header issues, but until I can get rid of them I can't know for sure. Hi, Can any one help me fetch foreign keys (fields) information from a table? I mean any query that may be helpful or any structure in MYSQL that can work. I have already tried "SHOW TABLE STATUS WHERE NAME= 'abc' " query , and a lot of other things but none of them was helpful. If anyone knows, kindly reply me ASAP:) Best Regards, Zahra
