Question about PSR1

Hi, We have some PSR1 Scrutinizer warnings in many files. For example, in js/whitelist.php: "For compatibility and reusability of your code, PSR1 recommends that a file should either new symbols (like classes, functions, etc.) or have side-effects (like outputting something, or including other files), but not both at the same time. The first symbol is defined on line 20 and the first side effect is on line 9." Is it true that PSR1 objects to our having a define() statement and ordinary code like chdir() in the same file? -- Marc Delisle | phpMyAdmin

Concatenations

Hi, after reading [0] I will take the habit of using a comma between echo arguments instead of concatenation. I also want to modify our existing code. In most cases, the performance gain and memory gain will be small but there might be some places where it will matter. Hello all, I'm starting to use XAMPP on a MAC and when I accessed the phpmyadmin webpage it reported the following error, because of it I can't create any database or tables: The phpMyAdmin configuration storage is not completely configured, some extended features have been deactivated. Find out why. Or alternately go to 'Operations' tab of any database to set it up there. I clicked at Find out why and the was the following error: | $cfg['Servers'][$i]['column_info'] ... | OK | | Displaying Column Comments: Enabled | | Browser transformation: Disabled | | | | Please see the documentation on how to update your column_info table. | I clicked the question mark for more explanations, but they didn't help me because I kept receiving the message that the data base didn't exist, even though it did. I'm running the latest version of XAMPP (5.6.14-4) and the latest version of phpmyadmin - 4.5.2 I found a lot of explanation using google, but nome of them helped me. Can some help me to solve this problem? Regards Alex

Hello, I am Bill Morrisson, an Under graduate Student from Buea, Cameroon. I want to contribute to phpMyAdmin's opensource projects. I am a newbie in PHP and MySQL(just started learning the language 8 months ago) and had in mind in contributing to the organization as soon as I am comfortable in the languages. I would like to contribute in PHP and looking forward to learn javascript on the go with other projects as well. I would love to hear from phpMyAdmin if there is anything I can do to help. Thank you

Testsuite

Hi all I've noticed that we do not run most of our testsuite for quite some time. This is now fixed [1], but quite a lot of tests are broken. I've fixed some, but it would be great if somebody else can look into this as well...
