Hi,
We want a small SQL page with querybox and bookmark, because some people
don't have to see the structure when uploading queries or executing
bookmarks.
However, some people want to see the whole structure while entering
queries, not just the field names.
I was tempted to suggest them to open a second browser window ... but
this might be not the best solution.
What about adding the whole contents of the SQL page, on the Structure
page, after "propose table structure"?

Hu, you're right. And there is a codding standard problem
in the "PMA_checkReservedWords" function from the
"common.lib.php3" script at line 1343: TRUE should be
capitalized.
>MySQL gave an error when creating the db, table.
Yep, that's why we don't check for these invalid characters:
MySQL does it very well... except for some buggy versions!
>MySQL accepted to create the column, and to delete it.
Yep because it's indeed a valid character for columns name.

Of course we can but since it won't broke anything...

Hi Robin!

Yep but the dot is a valid MySQL character for columns
names!
BTW I would prefer an error be displayed rather than a
silent change in this area. But it's just my opinion.

Hi List!
Could one of you test and submit the patch I've suggested
in support request #579565 (DELETE SYNTAX)?
Thanks,

This is a known MySQL problem: dot is an invalid
character in db/table/column name but MySQL doesn't
check for it while creating db/table/column. BTW it
can't do anything with such a db/table/colum.
PMA already checks for such invalid characters as soon
as you create db/table/column with PMA forms. But
it doesn't if you run a SQL script and I'm afraid it would
be really too hard to code it.
