This is a good start, but it's almost as "complicated" as filling
out
the config itself. :-)
yep, that's right, that would be more for "advanced users" than for
starters. The positive things are that you can create your file
directely while watching the docs, and that it doesn't require a lot of
of work on our side.
A setup script should guide novice users through the
configuration step
by step. It should detect what php / MySQL version the user is running
and which extensions are available, ask the user what his copy of
phpMyAdmin is intended for and offer the best configuration variables
based on that information.
