I suggest to wait. The real issues here are:
- the incapacity of installing own phpMyAdmin version (imposed by some hosting providers)
- provider not willing to install other themes
- two current themes not appropriate for color blindness
So I would rather transform this request into "replace the original theme with darkblue/orange for better contrast".
