I just did not want to merge it because we currently are in feature freeze :o)
Thinking it over, I have some small fixes that should not break anything and would re-allow MySQL 4.1 users to insert data and view the structure page correctly. I'm going to merge them in a couple of minutes. :-)

Thanks Alexander. I guess we should still tell users that phpMyAdmin is not ready for MySQL 4.1?
