Most of the issues are reported in their bugzilla (usually we're not first ones hitting the bug).
Pootle uses the API of the Translate Toolkit. Are the bugs in the Pootle part or the Translate Toolkit part?
I'm asking, because assuming we give up on expecting fixes from the Pootle developers, you might want to reuse this toolkit.
