[Phpmyadmin-devel] Translating documentation using po4a

Hi all as I use quite a lot po4a for translating documentation for my other projects and I thought it might be good idea to use it for translating phpMyAdmin documentation as well. It parses input files (in our case it would be xhtml) and creates po files from the content, each paragraph is one translatable string. This way translators can translate string per string and the structure of document is automatically kept from original. I imported current translation to this system and it is in svn. French translation is okay, but the others are horribly outdated, so po4a does not generate document from them (by default you need to translate at least 80% to generate documents). If there is interest, I can add it to my web based translation system (https://l10n.cihar.com/), so that anybody will be able to translate over the web. I'll share this with our French doc translator. Marc

I just put it there: https://l10n.cihar.com/projects/pmadoc/ Feel free to try it or ask for adding another translation. The changes don't go directly to SVN, but I will be notified of them and will merge them. -- Michal Čihař | http://cihar.com | http://blog.cihar.com
